Some people aren’t down with the conventional mass resoluting. It’d be nice to do such things without a push, but we need to break up time into these periods and it’s good to reflect upon each at the end and think about what we want to get from the next.
I was going to bring up how at the start of this year I didn’t have a penny to my name. In fact I had a remarkably similar amount of savings, but by the end of February I was more broke and unsupported than I may have ever been and spent a few nights sleeping ‘on the street’ to make the pennies last. I’ve spent most of what I earnt since then, but one of my resolutions is to double how much I’ve saved this year. It seems plausible considering how much I usually blow on travelling or electronics at the end of each year.
Another aim is to tackle my O.C.D. or whatever it is that I waste time and anxiety on.
I also want to bring some routine self-discipline into my daily routine, making sure I attempt to reach my toes and listen to a Japanese lesson every day and maybe even read a little.
And of course I intend to kick-start this blog once more.
[Edit - More than two months later I'm posting this and I've forgotten any other resolutions.]

In the mailbag this week: One for an old tenant without a forwarding address, another two with forwarding addresses and two for someone a few doors down (I got one for a different address on our street a few weeks ago… maybe I should send some feedback, I don’t want other people getting my mail). Does one for the landlady and lord count?

Last night I went to Ringmer for the first time since I got back. Despite how it looks, the steamiest it got was when I was turned on by swinging. Weird I know, but I felt like I hadn’t been on a swing in many years.

Tonight we burnt the clocks, which were actually lanterns, in a four-storey-high pile.

Then I shot off to meet people I haven’t seen since we went to school together over a decade ago. Neither of the people I had seen some years ago were there and I barely recognised anyone else so I caught the next bus back without meeting anyone.
The planning wasn’t wasted though as this morning I discovered I can still fit into my signed school shirt, which I last wore before I was a teenager.

Made me laugh aloud today: “Looks like someone forgot the safeword.”

It’s 21:55 and I’ve just found out the reason I’ve been shivering and cursing my numb toes all day even though we turned the heating on at 18:00. I turned my radiator off when I went to bed last night because someone planned to have the heating on all night again. At least I’m not mad.

Q: Would I rather be mad or unintelligent?

When I create my world (you know? the one the size of U.K./N.Z.? with the preheated cattle and boneless chickens?) the seasons may not change after a specific period, but there will be an overnight shift so one will wake up in the warm sunlight and know that winter is over.
The Presidents (two old, one new) are hitting my town on the sixteenth day of April, when will they hit yours?
