The Time Traveller’s Wife
I should be doing my assignments, but what do you make of this?
As one of my favourite books, the only one that hasn’t been [or had part of its set] made into a movie, I often and very recently wondered whether it would. (How did I not hear about this when the trailer’s out before The Lovely Bones’?) In my opinion they shouldn’t have used well-known actors and shouldn’t have cheesed it up so much (can you believe I was worried I might see an action movie trailer)?. Hopefully the film (and its soundtrack) is much better than the trailer. Wow and it’s out in about eight weeks.
I was also thinking a couple of weeks ago that the actor I’d most like to see make a comeback is Robin Williams. I think the ‘bad guy’ roles of the last, what, decade? haven’t suited him and utilised his strengths. I don’t think he’s limited to one zany character but if given the freedom he could use his funny side suitably and restore his former glory. Anyway I just saw the trailer (which suggests a different story and tone to the synopsis) for World’s Greatest Dad. Here’s hoping.
